Year of Discovery
by Ricky Doc Sauceda
Isaiah 40:30-31
Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;
but those who hope in the Lord
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.
We're in August now. After this month, we have only four more months for the year until it's over. I have had an interesting year in regards to my job and personal life, my new relationships on facebook and making new discoveries in my Christian faith.
I indeed see Him (the Lord) in the way my life has been changing. It has not been easy, but I always say one thing as to why I am able to endure whatever comes my way. Many things have come my way since the Fall/Winter of 2008.
That one thing is to keep a constant effort in my Christian faith. To keep believing. To keep praying. To keep listening to Christian ministry. To keep reading the Holy Bible. To keep in fellowship with my brothers and sisters of this world. To keep receiving the Eucharist in physical and spiritual humbleness and understanding.
Only because of this am I able to keep myself moving forward. Otherwise, I would have been out of reason or desire a long time ago. That is what the Lord does for me - He gives me strength and life. That is the difference.
I want to thank each of you for being a part of this year of discovery. It has been a beautiful experience and I don't fully understand it, and I guess I never will. God has brought us all together and that is the only part that I understand. Knowing that, I am glad for all of us.
Bless you in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
