Did you notice that I posted late today? It wasn't because I was running behind today. It was because I woke up at 1:00 a.m. and had to vomit and had "the runs" and a fever and I was a big mess. I had eaten supper in the evening and then ran out of gas on my way home. On the side of the freeway, I had to push my 1973 VW to a parking space that was conveniently located outside of my apartments. There is no access there, as the gates are chained at this access point.
I walked over to a neighbor's apartment and he took me a gas station where I purchased a gas can and some gas. I fueled up the VW after putting in the two gallons with the gas can. I then fellowshipped here with you all last night.
I went to bed and then the food poisoning symptoms took over.
I called my supervisor to tell her what what going on and that I would not be making it to work on time to open the office. She asked if I would be making it in today and I told her that I would try. I had to rest more and was able to feed Stella (the cat), post up my morning devotionals and then get cleaned up, pray and head to work.
As I was trying to rest after my episodes in the bathroom, I began to experience sever abdominal cramps. I was in a lot of pain. I knew what needed to be done. I called out to the Lord to help me. In the Spirit, He told me to relax and quit writhing. He told me to "be still."
I eventually fell asleep. I awoke again and had to visit the restroom one more time and the pain started again. Once more He told me to "be still." I woke up much later and proceeded to pray and rise, feed Stella and the rest.
If it had been my last night for some reason. I feel good about where I would have eventually ended up. I live an honest and humble life and I am very honored to have you friends here on facebook. I have been blessed to exchange with you in many ways. It has been a great joy of mine and that is why I continue to do it.
I wanted to share this story with you and also tell you "thank you" for being a part of my life. May God bless you abundantly, always.
