Psalm 92:12
The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon
Today I met up with a friend and teammate of my oldest son, Ricky Jr. They played football together for two seasons at South Houston High School. Ricky Jr's football days ended in a game against Deer Park. He was triple teamed by their defensive lineman.
Their goal was to take him out of the game. They ended up injuring him so that he was not able to continue playing beyond that game. It was hard for me to see that.
His friend is Rolly and I was so glad to see him. I used to give him a ride home after football practices in those two seasons. I drove a 1985 GMC pick-up truck then - one my Momma lovingly allowed me to use in those days.
I often had Ricky Jr's teammates jump in the back and I would take them home. It was a treat for me. I did not mind at all.
It was good to see Rolly today. I blessed him in God's name as he left. He needed a little help today and I was available.
