Joshua 24:14-15
“Now therefore fear the Lord, and serve him in sincerity and in faithfulness; put away the gods which your fathers served beyond the River, and in Egypt, and serve the Lord. And if you be unwilling to serve the Lord, choose this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your fathers served in the region beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you dwell; but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
The day the twin towers were destroyed in New York City, I was at work. Some co-workers had turned on the TV in the downstairs conference room. We could not believe what we were seeing. This was an act of hate.
Across our nation airports and airfields were shut down. Schools were secured. The people of America were on the highest level of alertness in our nation's history.
I tried to reach my children at their schools but was met with lines of cars and swarms of panicked parents. There was tremendous fear that harm could come to them. We wanted them to be home and safe.
For weeks, churches were over-capacity with attendance. People were seeking out God because they were scared. This was a time of hysteria.
My children are now adults, two are in their early thirties and one in the mid-twenties. They have endured seeing their country in its poorest state since the Great Depression. There have been the Energy and Credit scandals as well.
We have also seen an unaddressed wrongful price gouging for over a decade in regards to profiteering by the oil companies. Charging excessively for our fuels and crippling our personal economies...while they reaped massive profits. Nobody is fooled by any of these things.
I am against any government that would allow harm to come to its people from within. That allows wrongful business relationships that cause mayhem with Americans livelihood. There must be order.
I believe that a business has a right to make a fair profit...but not a gross one due to criminal level deals and arrangements. I do not believe that any business should be able to manipulate any market or product of any kind. Greed is not good.
I want my upcoming grandson to live freely and enjoy his citizenship. I want him to have fun learning and participating in activities. I want this for all future Americans.
This is our homeland. This is our nation. We are the people.
