1 Corinthians 12:4-6
There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work.
My three children gained a fondness of listening to music from me. I learned it from my parents. I influenced my kids to be individuals and they are.
They are two brothers and one sister, yet have their own uniqueness. They also have common things in like. That is family...diverse and yet one at the same time.
Christopher used to sit on my vinyl LP collection and spin around on them. He especially liked my BOSTON: MORE THAN A FEELING. He scratched that one up really bad and I was able to find a replacement for it.
Teri had a different way of handling my music collection. She would just take from my collection what she liked and make it part of her own. I had to replace various CD albums due to this...I did not mind.
Each of my children have common tastes in music. They also have different tastes. That is what makes them "themself." That is the way things are supposed to be.
