Daniel 6:20
When he came near the den, he called to Daniel in an anguished voice, "Daniel, servant of the living God, has your God, whom you serve continually, been able to rescue you from the lions?"
At my previous job Victor Quiroz was his own nemesis to me. His dad was the man who recruited me. Regardless, he hated me.
I was promoted to the Buying Office because I impressed the owner. Those were his very words to me during a meeting of the staff. I was a bit concerned because Victor got very angry about it.
In only five months he managed to unravel me progress. I was on pace to out-perform any of his work. He was assisted by Jerry Farrell, the VP who finalized my hiring.
I don't know why I was their enemy. They do. All I was doing was my job.
After my stint in the Buying Office I served 1 1/2 years as an invoice clerk for the company. I eventually made it back to my original position of Inventory Controller.
It is amazing how someone can be motivated to work hard knowing that their children at home are relying upon them.
