Ecclesiastes 7:12
Wisdom is a shelter as money is a shelter, but the advantage of knowledge is this: Wisdom preserves those who have it.
Ecclesiastes 2:13
I saw that wisdom is better than folly, just as light is better than darkness.
On Facebook I have some very wealthy friends, I have some successful friends, I have some famous friends, I have some friends who have good salaries and then I have some friends like me that work for a good salary and it is enough.
Among all of us it is the ones that have come to know that happiness is not in money. It is in faith and love towards our Lord. From there we are able to enjoy our lives...the wealthy...the successful...the famous...the well paid...and those who earn enough.
The wealthy friends I have are balanced, believe in God and live very well. They will tell you not to struggle to attain what is not within your means. But to live within them.
It is chasing after "more" where we get into a bad state with credit and debt. I know. I am guilty of that.
In these past nearly seven years of my life now, I have been learning to control myself. I have a new car that I can afford. I now have a credit card that I realize is a tool and not a bonus to spend as I wish.
I pay all of my bills on time. These things I have learned after making many errors. I now focus on being wise and thoughtful.
I treat my finances as a part of my Christian life. We are supposed to do that. I am glad that I have learned this.
