Mark 12:30-31
...and you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ The second is this, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”
We judge each other. Sometimes we are cruel about it. Who are we to do that?
Last night I was treated to Arabic coffee, figs and a cookie. I mentioned that I knew a song that contained Arabic language. I played it for my host on my smartphone.
He disliked the song because the song was by a Moroccan singer - not pure Arab like my host. I was shocked by his response. This was unexpected.
Even I must examine how I respond to others. I myself am not pure blood of any one race. I am a mix of Italian and Spanish mostly. My people are also French, German and Irish. I am a typical American.
Let us do our best to accept our brothers and sisters in this world. A time is coming when it won't matter who is pure or who is not. God will be examining our hearts - to see if we love His Son.
That is all that matters. Amen.
