Today I trekked by bike to make it to church. I must go because the Spirit that dwells in me seeks that part of worship. I am compelled to willfully attend Sunday worship.
We had no Sacristan Minister to coordinate Eucharist Ministers or choose a family to take up the gifts to the altar for the blessing and serving of the Eucharist. We had only one Hospitality Minister on hand who had to 'double' their duties to make sure the Lord's house was tended to properly.
Sister recruited members of our Youth Group to serve for Hospitality Ministers - the group I am acquainted with from being a chaperone. They were marvelous and represented the youth of our church admirably. I am proud of their hearts and efforts.
Sister and I had a brief discussion about the need of teaching the children of our church the 'ins and outs' of ministry work in our church. I fully agreed on this with her. She was happy to learn I am 'for' them and not 'against' them. It is why I teach.
All of the loving work required for a good church experience 'fell into place' because God provides all things. Nothing is too hard for our Lord. All of the honor and glory belongs to Him.
Jeremiah 32:27 -
I am the LORD, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?
Amen.
