Luke 4:1
Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, left the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness,
I was thinking about THE SINNER'S PRAYER/A SINNER'S PRAYER this morning. Not for long because I knew the answer by the blessing of reading The Holy Bible and our Holy Spirit. What caused this was my thinking of why we can hear our LORD speak to us in Spirit.
I was very young when I began talking to HIM. Around 7-8 years of age. I never had a response but trusted that HE was listening. Now that I am maturing I know by by the words of scripture that there are times when people of The Bible truly loved and believed in GOD, He would talk to them.
This occurs in the Old and New Testaments.
So this SINNER'S PRAYER can be a doorway to expressing our love and belief in our LORD. If it is HIS will, you will hear HIS voice as I did in the Spring of 1979 at my home in Cut & Shoot, Texas. I was in my family's living room, on my knees and praying when it first took place.
John 4:23-24
Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.”
I did not become a perfect person from the experience. I was recognized for truly loving our LORD. HE shared a simple message, it was not elaborate.
Today I am living the purpose HE set before me before I was born. I may not be your cup of tea or favorable in your mind and eyes. That is quite fine...HE is.
Only HE can fulfill all of your eternal needs. Not me or anyone on this earth. Regardless of their claims.
I encourage you here and now to read The Holy Bible, make good friends and heavily listen to good and sound Christian ministries. Flood your mind with CHRIST and flush out this world and its ways.
Don't be overly zealous about it. Don't go around yelling, shouting and pointing people out as sinners. Be like JESUS...gentle, caring, forgiving, tolerant and graceful. As much as you can...because we will falter in these things at times.
Begin your journey today. If you're on it, continue. May we all be open and receptive to the promptings of our LORD eternally.
In the name of our FATHER and the SON and THE HOLY SPIRIT, I bless you.
Amen.
