We see it in the most common people every day, but we're usually too busy to notice it. Our busy lives take our focus and attention. All we have time for is to handle our tasks. Whether you are successful or the working class, we just get consumed by what we are bonded to. Goals, targets, desires, needs, pursuits and all the rest...our poor minds are taken over the edge at times.
What is it we see and normally don't stop to appreciate? The people who we know who are at peace every day. The ones who are always smiling and make us smile back. It just happens so quickly we may not realize what we're not seeing. Not only do those people smile but they make you feel better. Every single time you're around them you feel at ease. They can be a co-worker, relative, store clerk or just anyone. Have you ever taken a moment to figure out why?
Day after day, week after week and year after year, they will project that good feeling and smile genuinely. Maybe you took the time to share some conversation or it could be you have never taken that time. Then you notice something else they unknowingly teach; they do it naturally and with such a simple way. How to handle life's eventual trying times. They lose their shine for a little while but it returns. Why? What is the reason that a person could smile again? How could joy ever be found and experienced? How is it even possible to overcome adversity?
"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." (Matthew 11:28) These are the words from the mouth of our Lord and Savior. It is what drives these people from within. This is the source of their ability to shine from within.
That is why you feel good when you see them. It is the tranquil love of Jesus Christ in them. That is why they are so calm and steady. The Light of the Lord fills them every moment of their day. Release yourself from the grip of the world. Apply yourself in your pursuits to honor the Lord. Praise the Lord by living in His teachings. Do it every day and let the light shine from within.
