Matthew 25:40 - "The King will reply, 'Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.'
As I was walking down my apartment stairs this morning. A young man approached me. He needed to use a phone because his wife was bleeding from her womb. They celebrated the birth of their daughter two weeks ago. They don't have a car or phone.
I called into my office to let my supervisor know that I was going to be late this morning. I took the couple to a nearby emergency room. On the way I told them of how much I love my own children. I congratulated them on the birth of their daughter. I know what it is like to be young and needing help.
They were so shocked that I did help them...they said so. They were more stunned by listening to my Christian radio station on the way to the hospital. When I blessed them, they walked away quietly and had surprised looks on their faces.
Momma was always there for me. These poor souls had nobody that could help them. We take families for way too much granted.
We really do.
