Every day I see people of all kinds: rich and poor. I see people who work for a living and some are successful and some are not. Some wear nice clothes and some wear uniforms and some wear rags. I see where people eat, buy clothes, cars, food, and just about everything else. Then I see a news story today about the tornado that went through Oklahoma...everything was at the mercy of a violent manifestation of nature. Nobody was concerned about their status, rich or poor, as the tornado ripped the land apart.
I would imagine that most prayed with every ounce of what faith they could summon. Wouldn't you? What is that tornado to us in reality? It is an equalizer. When something like that is present, there is no misbehavior, wickedness, ill will, hatred - just fear and prayerful hope that everything will work out somehow.
In our civilization's end on earth, when the Lord does return, it is going to be more impactful. The people of this entire world, not just a part, are all going to be in a state of prayer. They are either going to be ready or not when the Lord comes calling. There won't be a care in the world for the things of this earth...except those who will hate the Lord. The ones He says will gnash their teeth and try to flee from Him.
I live for Christ each day...but I have a situation that is unfair to most people. I am struggling and do not have much of anything. I am at an advantage to love God, the church, my faith, my bible, my Christian radio station and all the things associated with my Lord. I have nothing that takes my attention away from Him and I have a whole lot of time to work on my faith. I could find myself at a great disadvantage in the near future if I find a job that pays well and gives me the opportunity to be comfortable. We will see.
I know now not to promise the Lord anything I cannot deliver, or that I would change my mind about. I will say that I pray that he guides me each day and to help me please Him. So, I strongly recommend this to each and every one of you...don't wait for a storm to come that forces you to be prayerful. Be prayerful now. Do something that enables you to be Living For Christ each day - do it! The Lord will smile upon you and make you His vessel to do His will.
Isn't that better than the opposite?
