My first attempt at this got lost due to my computer locking up. I was attempting to express how special it is to be reconnected to people I cared about at different times and places in my early life. I attended three high schools and I didn't like that fact at all at the time. Now, I have found some really good friends and they have changed my outlook on it. I feel blessed that I wandered to different schools because I ended up having diversity in my learning and social environment.
Conroe was the longest time period for me and I established very fond memories there, as well as my Christian faith - a well rounded faith that people don't normally attain. I guess you could say it was similar to a non-denominational mentality but more interfaith than that. I have a foundation as a Catholic but I am sincerely interested in my fellow Christians. I like to experience the faith my friends have and understand their outlook and perspective. It helps to enrich my very own self.
My best associations are with the people who didn't delve into dark things. I did come from that arena and I was very happy to come out of it...it is a vile place to be in. I am a great source of helping people in that state and I have had a few opportunities to assist some. That is why I venture to gather a wild seed every now and then. I had a friend in Florida who is a partier and not very wise, but starting to do things that will benefit her soon. She is getting an associate degree and license for physical therapy. I wish her well, as she dropped me as a friend already - too religious for her in the end.
I also have new friends that are respected in the faith community, friends that are working for a living, friends that are single moms, friends that are moms, friends who are divorced, friends who are dating, friends who are singers, friends who are educated, friends who are life experienced, friends that are Catholic and friends who are not.
I have friends in Australia, England, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, Pakistan and all over the United States. The fun part is I am able to share with them at different times of the day due to facebook which connects our worlds. Some friends mistake me for a pastor, which I am not. I am just a good Christian who loves the LORD. I enjoy having the friends who are into ministry and post their activities. I appreciate their effort to promote the goodness and love of our LORD.
Childhood classmates are very special and there are only a few of those, but all classmates are very special. It is a comfort to have my closest ones on facebook: my Angels, former girlfriends, bandmates and good friends. The girlfriends are unique in that I have a special bond with them that very few people can claim.
It is good to have friendships and I enjoy them, even if it is just here on facebook. Thank all of you for being a part of my life. I am grateful for your Christian love.
God bless you.
