John 13:3-5
Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he had come from God and was going to God, rose from supper, laid aside his garments, and girded himself with a towel. Then he poured water into a basin, and began to wash the disciples’ feet, and to wipe them with the towel with which he was girded.
As Adam walked with God in the garden of Eden, the people of Jesus' time were blessed that He physically walked with them in that time. He was vast and beyond comparison to any man previous to his life here on earth, or since. He led by example.
He never asked of anyone anything that He was not doing. He lived simple. He lived devoted to prayer and love.
He is beckoning us to join Him in this Way.
