You’re giving everything you’ve got
Your whole life doesn’t seem worth a lot
Somehow it has to all make sense
Or else it is all just a circumstance
Dreams and hopes and fears and strife
The deep pains and feelings of our entire life
They all come crashing to the ground
Splinters and remnants strewn all around
You want to proclaim His name
Nobody wants to hear it or acknowledge Him
We live our lives from day to day
Knowing we need Him and His saving grace
The image and showing of our face
The selling and promoting to get the fame
To sell whatever it is that makes riches come
But don’t say His name or it won’t be done
Sing, pose, act, inspire and lead
Live for the entire world to see
Then comes the time when you need His love
How dare we call on Him above
Live for Him and proclaim His name
Don’t be ashamed for loving Him by name
We all need Him now more than ever
He’s the one who suffered, died and lives forever
Are you going to profess your faith?
Are you willing to give yourself in His place?
Two thousand years have come and gone
What have we to lose by singing to Him in song?
Praise, hallelujah and amen
Calling out to every child, woman and man
Let us stand and let us proclaim
Jesus Christ is Lord and blessed is His name
