John 18:6 - When Jesus said, "I am he," they drew back and fell to the ground.
A few weeks ago one of my sisters was on life support and in a medically induced sleep. She was clinically dead for about two to three days and began regaining strength. She was taken off of the equipment and brought out of her sleep after five days.
She stayed in her original hospital for an additional week before being transported to a lower cost care facility to continue rehabilitation and physical/speech therapy. After a week she relapsed and had to be put on a ventilator. She was placed into ICU with glum expectations of surviving.
She fought hard and was back in a regular hospital room in three days. The nurses and doctors were amazed and think of it as miraculous. She has been waiting for the weekend to roll around so that I could see her doing better now.
She was sitting up on the edge of the bed when I arrived. She hugged me and was very happy. We talked about family, life and her battle with her illness.
She recounted her story to me of being in Heaven. She was able to more clearly tell me what she saw. She visited with our Momma and Daddy - who were together. They are young, healthy and have a holy peace about them that she has difficulty describing. She says Momma never looked that way while she was here in this world. She says Momma has a complete body; she had a leg amputated shortly before her death ten years ago.
She then shared that she saw a light and a voice spoke to her. It was Lord Jesus Christ. He told her to tell us (her family) that He is coming soon and to know His name. She stated that part caused her to think about what He meant, to know His name. She said that so many Christians don't really know the Lord...never truly surrendering themselves completely.
She also saw my Grandpa and Grandma Lizzardi. She does not recall seeing any other family members. I for one believe her.
Amen.
