I love having faith in God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit and all things associated with Christian faith. As of late, I have been seeking to have a strong and impenetrable faith. Doubt has always been a part of my life and I can no longer afford to have it. The Lord is all about love and taking care of His children. The ability to trust in Him and know with certain confidence that He will provide is important.
Genesis 22:14 - So Abraham called that place The LORD Will Provide. And to this day it is said, "On the mountain of the LORD it will be provided."
How many miracles have you witnessed in your life? I have seen too many to justify doubting what the Lord can do for each of us. He is the most powerful force in all existence and all life emanates from him and he can make anything happen. This is the certainty we live with each day of our lives. So, why do we have the weakness of doubt?
Genesis 35:11 - Then God said, "I am El-Shaddai--'God Almighty.' Be fruitful and multiply. You will become a great nation, even many nations. Kings will be among your descendants!
The truth of God has another side as well. If He exists, so does Satan...and there is the source of doubt. Satan is forever attacking us and examining us for weaknesses. This is why doubt will creep up on us at any moment. Among other things, Satan is constantly plotting how to disrupt our walk with the LORD. He delights in throwing us off our course and hopes to make us fall.
2 Corinthians 2:11 - I don't want Satan to outwit us. After all, we are not ignorant about Satan's scheming.
I realize my faith will never be perfect and that is the reality for all of us. We must persevere in being good people who live in the ways of the Lord. We must come close to the model of a good Christian. I have read the bible and faith related articles, listened to sermons and shared the love of the Lord and it has all been beneficial to my faith. This is the effort that we need to undergo each day of our lives. Realizing it is by the love of the Lord that we will be secure and have inner peace from our lives.
Psalm 23:3 - He renews my strength. He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to his name.
It is with a constant effort that we will make our faith strong and enduring. The purpose is to have peace in our minds and the life of a sound person...someone who is peaceful from their inner strength that comes from the Holy Spirit. The Lord provides us help in our faith by the Holy Spirit, who coaches us and relays the messages to us from the Lord. We have a strong and unified body that is formidable against the tactics of the evil one.
Ephesians 6:11 - Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's
schemes.
So, our faith and life can be good and sound...in the help of our Lord by the Holy Spirit. It comes down to daily practices of the bible which are prayer and fellowship. Prayer is an all purpose instrument and fellowship is the sharing of that trust and belief we have in our Lord. To work together and support each other, just like we see here on facebook. To offer verses, poems, songs, prayers and all things that have to do with our faith and love in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Doubt is part of human nature...God shows us how wonderful he is in the great things he does for us. He will always supply us and bless us. It is up to each of us to seek him, love him and worship him. Also, to share him with each other so that we can strengthen and support each other. This is our Way.
Ephesians 6:18 - And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.
Peace be with you in the name of Lord Jesus Christ.
