John 4:16
He told her, "Go, call your husband and come back."
I dreamed I was with a woman in our house. We walked into our bedroom and discovered it had become some sort of dugout shelter. The wood flooring was gone and there was a massive sandy pit that was carved out. There were claw marks everywhere. Soon, we saw a hollow with three small polar bears huddled together. Then we saw who had been doing all of the digging - momma bear. She was massive, white and as soon as she saw us...she began to make her way towards us.
We divided out of opposite reactions. I headed for the door while the woman panicked and ran away into what was left of the room. The bear followed her and one of the cubs went running out of the room. I was closing the door as the momma bear passed by and then I awoke. I felt so strange not knowing what was the outcome of the chase in the bedroom.
I then logged onto my laptop computer, made my morning coffee and posted my morning 'sharings' and came to the latest "In Touch" message to share. It was about God's correction when we 'cross the line' and 'go too far.' Then He allows things and events to take place in our lives to wake us up - to bring us back to Him. That is the meaning of the pit in the bedroom. Life had presented many changes and decisions for the woman and I, but we made the wrong choices...digging a pit into our lives. The three cubs that were huddled together were our children who had to cling to each other for mutual love and support while their parents dealt with hostilities and bitterness towards each other.
The polar bear represents God sending elements into our lives to correct us for 'crossing the line.' It is like a 'fail safe' plan for the children of God. He will make sure you know when you have displeased Him. He will come to you out of love. It will hurt, but the reason is to get you 'back on track.'
Amen.
