Jeremiah 29:11- For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
I spoke to my son Christopher within the past hour. We had planned on Midnight Mass together; we do so every Christmas. It has become our personal tradition.
He wants me to go home with him from church and spend the night and Christmas day with him. So, I will. I had no plans. Now I do.
He shared with me that his mom was over last Saturday. They cooked together and she gave him a gift of an imported Italian olive oil he admired. She had been given it by someone at her place of work.
It is so strange what five years can do. It has been hard to accept these changes but there is no other choice. We must adapt to what our circumstances are and make the best of it.
It is very important to take care of ourselves. We must not be defeated by life. We must overcome.
In the end, all of this won't really matter. A time is coming when we will all be gathered up, as "Love Worth Finding" ministries shared this morning. This will be.
I look forward to it...very much so.
Amen.
